Become a Member!
The Community Development Bankers Association advocates on behalf of the Community Development Bank sector, educating federal policymakers on our member banks’ uncommon circumstances and unique needs. Our membership currently represents approximately half of all Community Development Banks across the country.
Full CDBA membership is open to all banks and thrifts certified as Community Development Financial Institutions (CDFIs). Annual membership dues are structured by asset size. Pro-rated first year memberships are available for new members.
To learn more about how your bank can become a member, please contact Anna Walker at email@example.com or (202) 689-8935 x 224.
Benefits of Joining CDBA
CDBA has teamed up with Promontory Interfinancial Network for the Banking on Communities Initiative. This partnership helps our member banks raise deposits and ensures that depositors' money stays invested in our communities through Promontory’s Certificate of Deposit Account Registry Service (CDARS).
Engage in Results-Oriented Advocacy
By joining CDBA, your bank adds its voice and expertise to our group of engaged, energetic members. By acting together, CDFI-certified banks can educate federal policymakers and regulators on our "double bottom line": commercial success and community impact.
Receive Updates on Policy and Regulatory Changes
Laws and regulations governing the financial services industry are constantly evolving. Let CDBA keep you up to date with regulatory and policy changes that affect your bank. Join our discussion on how to best navigate changing regulatory environments and react to new federal policies.
CDBA provides member banks with peer group data and analysis every quarter. Our metrics help you compare your bank's performance to other CDFI banks in your region and around the country, empowering you to create effective strategies and demonstrate the unique advantages of Community Development Banking.
Network with Peers
CDBA events are vital to the Community Development Banking industry as places to share best practices, discuss common concerns and network among peers. The annual CDBA peer Forum is our premier event, a two-day roundtable discussion featuring distinguished guest speakers and conversations between community development professionals.
